Salsa music sounds like a mambo but played with more modern instruments. The name "Salsa" was created and registered for a record label owner who later produced the movie with the same name "Salsa". More famous singers are Edwin Pitre Son Caribe, Celia Cruz, Oscar D'Leon and Tito Puente. Salsa is a Spanish word that when translated gives "sauce".
Hot, spicy and full of exotic latin flavor, the dance Salsa is a true "sauce". People all over the world go to the nightclubs and discos to hear the music, do the movement, and experience really Salsa flavour. A very rhythmic style of music, Salsa is played by Big Bands with an internal section of Latin percussion, piano and often many singers.

Sexy motion

In Salsa the dancers are slightly apart and keep all his weight on his toes. A woman's right hand and left hand of man may be given or interlaced, while the man's right hand is resting on left shoulder of the woman or, alternatively, in his hip. The woman's left arm should be slightly leaning on the man. Despite the Salsa step to be more compact, is extremely relaxed, allowing a smooth and sensual freedom. The movements of the hips, especially of men, are also quiet, even subtle. Arm movements give the salsa a naturalness and beauty only, provided that follow, so instinctive, the body movement.

The Salsa Shoes

The choice of ideal salsa dancing shoes is very important because our movements can be facilitated or hindered depending on the choice of footwear.

Imagine that somebody is dancing and begins to make a move that has to change direction quickly turning the body. If he is using a shoe with rubber sole and his foot is in contact with the ground, probably he will have trouble turning it, however if using a shoe with leather soles for sure his pitch will be more successful.

It is preferable that the gentleman wear shoes with leather soles with heel (4 cm). The lady must use a shoe with a heel of at least 3 cm, using these kinds of shoes for sure the couple will find it easier to slide in the lounge.
